From the exhibition catalogue ‘Bloodflames 1947’ at the Hugo Gallery (The Elena and Nicolas Calas archive, Nordic Library at Athens)

‘Regarding Nicolas Calas’ presented artworks and installations by contemporary artists, based on research in the archives of the poet Nicolas Calas. The artists probed the archives and through different practices attempted to explore the timeliness and relevance of Calas’s ideas, concerns and critical idiom. The archival materials were made available with the kind permission of the Nordic Library Athens and the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, the Hellenic Literary and Historical Archive, the Cultural Foundation of the National Bank of Greece (ELIA-MIET) and the Archives of the Hellenic Broadcast Corporation (ERT-Archives).
